As a requirement of LCHIP public funding, the private owner has granted to the NH Preservation Alliance the right to control or review under stated conditions those features that make up the building's historic character in perpetuity. The complete text of the Preservation Easement signed May 2004 may be downloaded by clicking here . In this case all the elements of the building remaining from 1950 or before are now under a deed restriction similar to a land conservation easement or covenant. This document also places several positive preservation commitments upon the current or any future owner and specifically forbids division of the property into condominium ownership. The protected features are illustrated in photographs similar to those on this Web site, and described in an appendix of Baseline Documentation against which any proposed future changes and/ or improvements may be reviewed or compared.
